Could anyone plse assist?  It's the 'délitement' found in the quotation below that I discovered sulking in my personal vocab examples added of a few years ago - that was left untranslated.

 

Can't find it in the otherwise very helpful online dictionary http://www.french-linguistics.co.uk/dictionary/

 

Thnks!  (It may mean something akin to 'lightweightedness', but would like to be sure.)

 

"Selon Georges Malbrunot, grand reporter au Figaro, l'attentat qui a frappé le cercle rapproché du dirigeant syrien, ce mercredi à Damas, montre un certain état de délitement du régime."

Didn't know this word but aparently it means "fragmentation"  or "disintegration" and that would seem to fit the context.
