In fact, it's Il n'y a pas de quoi !which means You're welcome.

You're welcome is the correct translation, yes. Literally, as a response to Merci, it means There is nothing (to thank me for).

I thought 'rein' meant nothing.  (I know I spelled it wrong).

So If someone says "Merci", should I say "pas de quoi", de rein, or je vous en pre?

I think this was discussed about 10 days ago and the consensus among the native French was that "de rien" is both the simplest and the most current.

Don't mention it  and it's "pas de quoi"
