Pour reserver une table

When making a restaurant reservation, I generally say,

"Je voudrait reserver une table pour deux personnes....."

Is this what an actual French person would say :)?  Would "On voudrait.." be preferable to "Je voudrait..."?

I think your formula is fine. It's actually Je voudrais... but you can't tell the difference on the phone.

I am an actual French speaking person and I say it the way you do that is just fine. On would imply more than one person and it not the best here.

As a very rough guide: use on to mean "we" when talking to a person that you'd address as "tu". On the phone, where you're talking to somebody who doesn't know either you or who the "we" in question actually are, then the more formal nous is probably more appropriate.
