I recently found an old (1936) postcard with a message that I can't decipher well enough to translate. The parts that I can decipher are a bit hazy too.  I've attached a scan of the message though I'm not sure how that works.

The best I've been able to decipher is:

Le salon nous a tout de même interessées quoique l'on dite assez banale. Pas un oeuvre militaire au mondain du vu toujours le même cliché.  Andrée m'a apporter le Cygne en Musique, j'ai payée 8 francs.  Ta prochaine visite surtout demande le voir.  Ton papa va bien.  Il est allé voir ton frere. Joseph est encore avec son ??? dans les opérations.

The first sentence seems to mean

The show was quite interesting even if fairly ordinary.

Following on from that I barely get the sense of it.

"A ta prochaine visite, surtout demande de le voir !" ; "Il est allé voir son frère" ;

I think of "marmot" for the missing word, with a D instead of T, as there are other spelling mistakes. Or a surname... :)
That is really difficult to translate ,which makes me confused.
