Why is "tea" "the" in french?

If you're interested in the etymology of these words you can read the wikipedia page :
English version : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea
French version : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Th%C3%A9
In French "tea" is "thé" . They both come from the same asiatic word used by Dutch people afterwards.
It's then not that stupid :-)
