What is the proper way to say "Token" or "Tokens" is french?

Can someone please help me with the proper grammatical way of saying 'both' "Tokens" (plural) as well as "The Token" in French!?

Which of the following are grammatically correct?

des jeton

le jeton
le jetons

les jeton

Merci!

Hello

"le" (without "s" at end) is singular so the noun is singular (without "s")  : le jeton

"les" and "des" (with "s" at end)  are plural so the noun is plural : les jetons, des jetons

So what are the differences between "les Jetons" and "des jetons"?

Rather, what would make more sense as a name for a store that sold jetons... "Les Jetons" or "Des Jetons"?

Simply "Jetons" I think.

"Jetons" is taken and I cant use that name!

Are you selling online?

What about "Maison de Jetons"?

It need to be one of the two, "Les Jetons" or "Des Jetons"?

But I like your idea!  :)

I think it's the same difference in english between "a dog" and "the dog"

"a" = "un"

"the" = "le"

In French, we have the same thing for plural.

if you say "a" for a singular word, in French there is "des" for plural? So it seems to me that "Tokens" = "des jetons"

and if you say "the" for singular, there is "les" for plural so it seems that "The tokens" = "les jetons"

Wouldn't it be more like…..

le jeton = the token

les jetons = the tokens

des jetons  = some tokens (a use involving the partitive)?

Avez-vouse des jetons? = Do you have (some) tokens?

For the name of a store? How about La Jetonerie?  Make it up.  (or is it Le Jetonerie)

yes it's that.

For the name of a store? A store selling "des jetons" ? Did I have a good understanding of "tokens" : "des Jetons" are pieces of woods or plastic to play some games like poker ...

How about La Jetonerie?  => why not ... but the right way would be "La Jetonnerie" with "la" and 2 "n".

Merci, Chantal.  La and 2 n's.

le jeton = the token

les jetons = the tokens
