I have a friend who wants to see the tour de france.  He was going to get the rosetta stone to learn some french for his trip.  Our families went on vacation to a club med in mexico, and as a joke, I asked a bunch of french people to record short snippets that I am going to put on a dvd to make a holiday dvd for his family.

I took 4yrs of french in HS, 2 yrs in college, spent a summer in aix en provence... 20 yrs ago and while I can pull most stuff from the videos there are a few times when they speak too fast or are using idiomatic expression I dont understand.  On top of that I have been learning spanish now since I live in Texas, and work with spanish speakers from time to time. When I started, I mixed a lot of french into my spanish, now that I am more comfortable with spanish, I mix spanish in my french.
