la dame de six heure du matin,

I came across this phrase in Taki's Magazine

http://takimag.com/article/la_belle_dame_sans_merci

Can anyone please tell me what it means?

literally, it's "the woman of 6 a.m."

I know what it literally means... but what is he getting at?

It's not a french expression. It's probably got a link with the rest of the text, isn' it?

Maybe it's a typo... context is

Life’s secret is to take every risk without fear, and I’d take any risk to win la dame de six heure du matin, but how does one beat Father Time? It’s too depressing for words.

He does earlier refer to a meeting at 5.00am... maybe he is just out by an hour.

I was expecting something a bit more exotic along the lines of a 'cinq a sept' or 'une dame de petite virtue'... but I guess it must be literal meaning rather than an idom.

Merci pour l'assitance

You're welcome.

Without its context, I would say, like you, that it talking about une dame de petite vertue.
