I've found that when the teacher assigns us an imaginative writing task, my stories tend to sound repetitive because the majority of my sentences start with "Il something something", "Apres ca, Il something something" or sometimes just "Tout d'un coup something something"

I was wondering what could be some better ways to start sentences for imaginative writing?

Could you start with something descriptive instead?

L'Inspecteur (Clouseau)  se  sentait agitait ...

 - and see what happens next

L'Inspecteur (Clouseau)  se  sentait   agitait agité ...

my apologies!
