Imaginaire, which in this context would be ofensive to use

Hi,

I would please have other synonymes in english to imaginaire - imaginary. I am looking for a more positive, romantic and creative connotation than of not real,a phantasie, a false perception, an hallucination or simply wrong (which in this context would be offencive to use). I am swedish and I will use the word in swedish, but having synonymes indicated in english (or in french) would help me to come to another conclusion than having to use the french imagianaire in swedish.
