Bonjour tout le monde!

Hi guys, I would like to know if you know how to say something to the effect of "not until (this), (that happened)". I have found ne ... avant que, but that is a bit too verbose.

Merci d'avance!

I am not so sure myself but I think you can sometimes say "Il  a fallu (qqchose) pour que..."

That seems  more like a causal connection than simply temporal but at least its another option.

You can also often use "ne .... que" to express this idea.

For example:

Nous ne pourrons commencer le projet qu'après la signature du contrat.

"We will not be able to start the project until the contract is signed."

jusqu'à ce qu'il ne

Je ne mange pas jusqu'à ce que je acheter du pain
