How to say "my identity"

I am wondering how to say "my identity" in french.  I know the noun is feminine, and I am a girl trying to say this.  I heard that using "m'identite" (with accent over the e) isn't right.  Does anyone know the proper way to say this???

In fact, it's mon identité. For a boy or a girl it's the same way to say it.
