   I heard  on radio france  these words  " des aujourd'hui " -  I think it means - 'from today'     I hope  it is correct.

     Is there  another way to say it?

You're right : "dès aujourd'hui" means "from today".

You can also say : à partir de  maintenant, à compter de maintenant
