Can someone tell what this means? My guess is that it means something like proud of his strength, but it must be a French idiomatic expression that I am not familiar with.

Thanks

Hi Stephanie,

Indeed, Fort de +sth is an expression, and it means "featuring sth" or "powerful, thanks to sth".

So "fort de sa qualité" means "featuring high quality".

You can really use anything after "fort de", although it probably should always be a positive thing, something that makes it strong, powerful, reliable and trustable.

The Larousse online dict gives the following examples:
fort de son expérience - with a wealth of experience behind him
fort de leur protection - reassured by their protection
une équipe forte de 40 hommes - a 40-strong team
Thanks
