Hi everyone. I am trying to find an appropriate translation for the phrase "coup-de-coeur" and everything I come up with seems....well, not great. Has anyone ever seen a good translation?

Thanks!

It looks as though "personal favourite" is pretty close. It's discussed here.
Thank you Stu! From your link, this seems like a longstanding point of translation frustration! I'm thinking of a situation where one sees something, and just has to have it - an impulse of "I've got to have that!". The link was interesting, but I don't see anything that works in this context. Many thanks for your thoughts though!
Erin, if your context allows it, "I fell in love with...." might work and convey the sense of the original accurately. It's a bit journalese, but many people use that expression as hyperbole when everyone knows they don't mean it literally.
That's it!!!! It's perfect Stu. Thank you mille fois!
