What is the big difference between

a boulangerie and Patisserie ??

A)

In Norway, we have the traditional Bakery who sells our daily bread

-- is this a boulangerie ?

B)

Also in Norway and in Sweden , we have a "Konditor"

This is called Konditorei oder Konfiserie in Germany

-- I guess this is the patisserie?

C)

Do these two,  B and P, normally reside in the same shop?

Or can you have them in seperate shops?

The fantastic Thevenin botiques in Paris -- is these the typical French Bol. - Pat. combo ?

Your A and B are correct. As for C, I believe that in a typical French provincial town in, say, the 1950s the boulangerie and the patisserie would be separate shops. These days the unsweetened yeast breads and the sweet unleavened pastries are almost always sold in the same establishment. Someone will correct me if I'm off on this, I'm sure.
