[ I don't know how to translate the French words 'le rôti' here.

Un four de boulanger.
An oven for baking or rather baker's oven.

Un four de verrier. [ What is 'verrier'?]

le rôti means "the roast (meat)"

a verrier is a glass-maker.
Il a mis le rôti au four.

He put a chunk of beef in to the oven.

Do you think the above English translation is fine?
Please tell me.

So' un four de verrier' means an oven used by glass-blowers.
No, a rôti is not necessarily beef. Surely you can do the extra 5% of the translation without help?
Thanks stu

He put a chunk of meat in to the oven.
Is the above correct?
I would like to read your comment again.
mmm... why "a chunk," doesn't really ring right - it's a roast
