Hello Edgar,

"On est bien peu de choses" is an expression meaning "we are little in a big world".

"Peu de choses" means "next to nothing". You might also stumble upon "pas grand chose", whose meaning is the same.

I had struggled to understand that part of the song.
Now it makes sense, in spanish we also say " poca cosa " meaning also next to nothing or insignificant. =).
