TV show Controverse

Does anyone know if the belgian/french RTL Tv show 'Controverse' is a talk show or other type of programme? Thanks!

It seems to be a tv program where specialists are talking about politics, society, economics so i would say yes.

But in France, we call that simply une émission de débats société/politique. We rather use "talk show" for the programs where ordinary people come to talk about their problems, like jerry springer's.

Thanks for that. It doesn't sound like you would call it a talk show in English - any ideas anyone for a general term for this kind of  debate show? Merci...
