Hey, I'm trying to understand how would you use 'that' in French. I've translated several sentences (except #4 & #5) - and I would like your opinion:
1) I want that table = je veux cette table
2) I want that one = je veux celle / je veux celle-là
3) I want that = je veux ça / je veux cela
4) I've wanted that table since yesterday = Please help translate
5) That is the table that I want = Please help translate

Hi
hope this helps.
I want that one = je veux celle / je veux celle-là
I've wanted that table since yesterday J'ai voulu (OR j'ai envie de Or je veux ) cette table depuis hier.
I want that = je veux ça / je veux cela OR je veux celle-là / celui-là (if "that" refers to a particular thing)
That is the table that I want : voilà la table que je veux. OR celle-là est la table que je veux.
'J'ai voulu cette table depuis hier' is not correct but the last translation is the good one : 'Je veux cette table depuis hier' in case I understand correctly the english sentence meaning that this feeling of wanting that table started yesterday and is still present now.
For the last one, you can just say : C'est la table que je veux
