the dictionary has "heure(s)/periode(s) de pointe" as well as "heure(s) d'affluence."  is one used more than the other when meaning the peak period of commuting to and from work?

merci d'avance

Hello,

mix both and you'll have the most common way to say it: l'heure de pointe, incidentally you may hear c'est le rush !
