Deciding whether to pronounce a consonant on the end of a French word can be tricky. But as a rule of thumb:

- a consonant followed by a final -e is pronounced (so that in (1) and (2), the t and d are pronounced);
- final -r is also generally pronounced, except on the end of a verb and in the adjective/noun ending -ier (exceptions include the fact that it isn't pronounced in Monsieur, and is in cher, fier);
- final -x is generally only pronounced in six, dix and a few names and scientific words.

So in (3), the -x is not pronounced, but the -r is.
