Can anyone help with a suitable translation of 'les nanas', used by a popstar to describe his female fans? It should be a bit slang-y but not too pejorative. I wondered about lasses/gals but think they're a bit dated, but chicks seems a bit OTT... anyone got any better ideas please? Thanks!

It's just girls, really. If you want to make it a bit cute, girlies is possible. I agree about lasses/gals/chicks.
Brilliant, that confirms it, thanks a lot!
For British English, you might use the term birds. It is still popular with young people. Chaucer used it, so you're on safe ground. :) Of course, if you're American, it won't make quite as much sense or may seem outdated, depending on where exactly you come from.
