I understand the word being used to mean converting a building (or room) into something else:

L'aménagement de la grange en maison a coûté très cher - The conversion of the barn into a house was very expensive

I also understand it being used to mean "development"

Avez-vous fini le plan d'aménagement ? - the development plan?

I'm confused with it being used to mean "adjust."

On va devoir demander des aménagements d'horaire - We're going to have to request some adjustments to the schedule

I looked up "adjust" and "aménager" isn't one of the choices.  Maybe it's used in the sentence above, because changing a schedule involves a lot of planning and reconfiguring?  Are there other times "aménager" would be used to mean "adjust?"

the main idea of aménagement is to configure/reconfigure (layout, schedule)

le plan d'aménagement = layout

Same meaning with different options

On va devoir demander des aménagements d'horaire OR d'aménager les horaires

On va devoir demander des ajustements d'horaire OR d'ajuster les horaires

On va devoir demander d'adapter les horaires
