How do you say in French - my sister has been playing the piano since he was six year old

I am helping my son with his homework and we are having trouble with what tense to use in the above translation to French

 

Help would be apreciated

Here's my attempt, although I translate in the other direction:

 

Ma soeur joue au piano depuis l'age de six ans.

Just a slight correction-- it would be joue du piano.
