The dictionary had many set expressions, the more useful of which are:
enquête auprès des consommateurs - consumer survey;
I will probably hear this often and learn it
avoir accès auprès de qn - to have access to s.o.;
vendre auprès de clients - to sell to clients;
recommander qn auprès de qn - recommend s.o. to s.o.;
for the three above, i will possibly hear the latter two often enough that i’ll absorb them without studying them. or i will merely use “à”
faire des démarches auprès de qn - to approach s.o.;
will i even hear this? i won’t use it and i should be able to figure it out
likewise, this one:
assidu auprès de qn - attentive towards s.o.;
in these last two, i will probably use “de” and still be understood:
prendre conseil auprès de qn - take advice from s.o.;
se renseigner auprès de qn - to find out from

faire des démarches auprès de is quite common, you know that there is a lot of paperwork in France so when you need a (supporting) document or want for instance to obtain something from an administrative body you may hear:
Vous devez faire les démarches auprès des organismes qui vous concernent. yes it's quite close to se renseigner auprès de et demander
assidu /auprès de : you're not likely to hear this meaning, it's quite old fashioned
Le précepteur n'est plus auprès de mes enfants.
It seems that in Belgium auprès (without de) means outre cela and this usage would be an influence of the dutch daarbij
never heard it!
